Sadly, the Dell XPS doesn’t have a number pad, though this isn’t likely to be a deal breaker given whats under the hood. It marginally cheaper, and the backlighting works far better in contrast with the black key-surround. We recommend opting for the black on silver design, rather than pure white.
Though this does depend on personal preference. A travel distance of 1.4mm and above is generally optimal. Average travel distance between keys is 1.22mm, which is ok. You can also automatically switch off the light at the touch of a button, or set them to switch off after a period of inactivity. You can work long into the night with several tiers of brightness on the backlit keyboard.
